The Fit Over Forty coaching experience is a comprehensive service crafted specifically to help you get in great shape and achieve lifestyle longevity beyond middle age.
This experience will be very different to your previous encounters of fitness coaching from the first moment and through the whole process.
The truth is that most ‘personal’ training is just ‘copy and pasting’ of the trainer’s favourite programs with very little investigation into the person and what their joints, muscles, cardiovascular system, digestive system and metabolism need.
We want to change that for you and believe this level of coaching should be the new benchmark for the industry.
Our initial consultation process can include any of the following:
– Medical grade body composition testing
– Hormone, nutrition and digestive system testing through our partner laboratory in the UK
– Metabolic and V02max testing
– Detailed strength, stability and movement analysis
– Lifestyle consultation
Without this detailed knowledge of your your body’s current status, how can a program be any more than a good guess? We can shortcut you past years of frustrating trial-and-error!
Following personal discussion, gym testing and laboratory analysis, we’ll tailor our proven coaching systems to your needs, all built around the Storm Force Fitness Foundations.
You won’t find this level of detail anywhere else and the alternative is getting lost in a complex web of practitioners, gyms, apps and websites, all giving you conflicting and confusing advice.
Before we get started, we like new clients to understand why we chase ‘lifestyle longevity’ as a goal and what it really means.
Whilst you might want a trainer to give you some exercises and ‘make you’ stick to healthy eating so you lose a few pounds, this will not lead to any tangible or life-changing results in the long run.
Exercise has consistently been shown to be the best tool we have for longevity, but you’ll see that there is so much more to health and fitness. For instance, improving metabolic health is absolutely critical and much of the required behavioural change will need to take place outside of the gym.
Simply ‘doing exercise’ isn’t enough for someone who is serious about long term health and fitness. We know that the human body steadily loses strength, power and muscle as we age, so if you’re only just about capable of doing something at 40 or 50 (or worse, you already find it hard), natural deterioration will mean you lose the capacity to do it when you reach 60 and that’s no fun!
Together we can help you avoid the outdated ageing narrative that says being over 40 means you’re down and out and should be readying your pipe and slippers…
You can do so much and create many more memories by knowing what we know about personalised programming.
Coaching spaces are very limited and may not currently be available, so if you’re ready to get started, please contact us to arrange an initial consultation.
